About Us
Updated: Sep 22
We’re Teafluencer, the Makan family, this is our small family-run tea business based right here in Camrose, Alberta.
What started as a love for tea has grown into something we’re really proud of. We’re a family business in every sense of the word. We choose our teas ourselves, create our blends and handle the day-to-day work together. There are no big teams behind us. It’s our family, our ideas and a lot of hard work.
One of our favourite parts of running Teafluencer is getting out into the community. You’ll find us at farmers markets, local events and tea tastings, and we love working with other small businesses around Alberta.
One place you can find us every Sunday is the Old Strathcona Farmers’ Market in Edmonton. It has become our biggest market and one of our favourite places to meet our customers. We’ve met so many wonderful people there, and it’s been amazing to watch our little Camrose business find a community in Edmonton, too.
You can also find our teas at a growing number of local businesses. In Camrose, our teas are available at the Camrose Visitor Information Centre at the Bill Fowler Centre beside Mirror Lake, as well as Go & Tea on Main Street. Cherry Lane B&B is also now carrying our teas.
Outside of Camrose, you can find Teafluencer at Bottoms Up Scrubs locations in Calgary and Red Deer.
We’re also looking forward to getting out to even more communities in 2026 through holiday markets and events around Alberta. We love meeting people face-to-face, talking about tea and getting to know the communities where we set up our little table.
We really believe in supporting the people who are building something of their own. Small businesses put a lot of themselves into what they do, and we love being able to work together, introduce our customers to other local businesses and be part of the community around us.
For us, Teafluencer isn't about trying to become the biggest tea company out there. We’re a family in Camrose who wanted to build something of our own, share really good tea with people and support the communities that have supported us.
From setting up our market table to packing orders and putting together new blends, we’re involved in every part of it.
We’re still growing, still learning and still figuring things out as we go.
But that’s what makes Teafluencer ours.
And we’re pretty excited about where this little family business is going next.
